Thermodynamic analysis of diesel engine ignition delay under low load conditions

چکیده

In recent decades, renewable energies (e.g., wind and solar) were introduced to reduce the dependency of diesel generation in remote areas islands power systems. However, cannot be eliminated entirely because uncertainty intermittent sources. this regards, low load operation (below 30% maximum rated power) is considered achieve highest possible penetration energy hybrid diesel) system for isolated locations. Ignition delay (ID) one key parameters affect engine response performance sectors. This study investigated ignition different operations from 15% 100% under speed ranging 1500 rpm 2100 rpm. From analysis, it was found that time increased with a decrease decreased an increase speed. The results showed at 25% loading conditions times are 1.16 0.98 ms rpm, 1.07 1800 1.10 0.92 operation. These indicate change did not significantly delay.
